It premiered on December 27, 2011 and ended its miststudios run on March 11, 2012. The series was brought back on BCP in July 2013 with the third-season premiere on July 13, 2012.

Alex1941 (Main judge, Season 4-Present)
Jangi (Main judge, Season 1-3)

R1ck 4stl3y (Guest judge, Season 2)
Harry Cp (Guest judge, Season 4)
The Judge Panel for the first season consisted of Jangi, Flipperjay13, and Tuxedo123. Several changes were made to the panel throughout the season due to conflicts regarding schedules. Tuxedo123 left after the first season to "focus on other projects" (though, he would play the host in Season 2), and Flipperjay13 was fired for unknown reasons.
In order to avert last-minute changes and issues, the second season Judge Panel consisted of only two main Judges: Jangi and Sehara3 (now referred to as 'Victoria'), being joined by a guest judge every week.
The third season introduced famous igloo designer Mcduck as the third main Judge. Mcduck almost left the show in the middle of the season, but later decided to leave after the season had wrapped up. Jangi would leave the show after the third season as well, having lost interest in Club Penguin overall. Season 3 runner-up Alex1941 replaced Jangi in the fourth season, while Blackmist100 took Mcduck's place as the Main Judge/Host.
Hosts
Blackmist100 (Co-host, Season 1; Host, Season 3-Present)
Victoria/Sehara3 (Co-host, Season 1)
RyanSeacrest (Host, Season 2; played by Tuxedo123)
There was no host in the first season; however, Sehara3 and Blackmist100 often spoke to the viewers and narrated the events. The second season had RyanSeacrest as the host, who was played by Tuxedo123. Blackmist100 became the official host in Season 3.
Format
Contestants battle it out to win The Igloo Challenge.
Season 1-2
Recruiting
In Season 1, Sehara3 pitched the series idea to Blackmist100, which he ended up approving. Blackmist100 would record, edit, and air the show on his channel.
In Season 2, however, Blackmist100 recruited famous igloo designer Harrybenson1 to compete for the season.
Interview
In the Season 2 premiere, Blackmist100 interviewed Harrybenson1 to introduce him to viewers.
Competition
Although both were competitors, Blackmist100 and Sehara3 co-hosted the first season. Season 2 saw RyanSeacrest (played by Tuxedo123) as a host, with the official judge panel being Jangi and Victoria (formerly Sehara3), who would be joined by a guest judge each round.
At the beginning of each episode, the theme was announced before the igloos were shown to the viewers.
The Judges' Evaluation then begins. Afterwards, the Judges would have to decide the Winner of the Week, as well as scores based on a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being the worst, 10 being the best).
A tradition in both seasons had the cast waving repeatedly on the stage at the end.
Season 3-5
Recruiting/Auditions
Starting in Season 3, auditions were held to search for a group of penguins to compete. Creators and casting directors Victoria and Blackmist100 recruited over 20 penguins, 14 to 15 of which would be called back to audition. Season 3 saw the 14 acts being cut down to a Top 6, while in Season 4, 15 audition acts were cut down to a Top 10.
Season 5 saw the removal of auditions, with Blackmist100 and co-casting director Harry Cp only recruiting for contestants to compete in the finals.
Competition
Season 3 had a major change in the format with a group of contestants competing against each other, instead of Blackmist100 and a selected contestant competing. Another twist was the eliminations. The worst-performing contestants of each Round would be eliminated, up until there are two contestants remaining. The Top 2 would compete in the Finale.
In Season 3, Blackmist100 became the Host with the Judge Panel consisting of Jangi, Victoria, and famous igloo designer Mcduck. In Season 4, Alex1941 and Blackmist100 replaced Jangi and Mcduck as Judges.
Each round now consists of two parts. The first part features an explanation of the task, as well as the action and drama that takes place in the making of the igloos. The second part of the round would feature the Judges' Evaluation and the Results.
The Prediction Challenge
A fan challenge was incorporated in Season 3. Fans were asked to make predictions on competition events, such as who is the Winner of the Week or the person going home/getting eliminated. Five points are earned for each correct prediction. A selection of the top-performing predictors win several prizes, including the opportunity to watch the Finale live.
The Prediction Challenge returned in Season 5 after not appearing in Season 4.

On January 23, 2012, the series was renewed for a second season, which aired the following month.
The series was renewed for a third season on March 10, 2012, which was expected to begin filming the following week, targeting for an April 2012 premiere. Due to scheduling conflicts, filming was pushed back to May for a June premiere, but was yet again pushed back to August for a September premiere. There was a final attempt to film the third season in November 2012, which would run/air successfully up until the finale, around the time when conflict had erupted behind the scenes, forcing the show to be cancelled. The miststudios channel was eventually taken down the following month in December 2012.
The Igloo Challenge was picked up, once again, in June 2013, more than a year after after the second edition had finished its run. Filming would take place in July through August. The show would air during those same months.
In March 2014, the show was renewed for a fourth season, which began filming on March 29, 2014 and wrapped up on July 17, 2014. The fourth season aired through Summer 2014. Post-production on the fourth season was completed on August 15, 2014.
On July 17, 2014, the show was renewed for a fifth season. The fifth season was set to film in Fall 2014, targeting an Early 2015 premiere. The pre-season confessionals began filming on August 5, 2014. The competition finals started filming on August 20, 2014. Filming for the fifth season wrapped up on December 13, 2014. Post-production on the fifth season was completed on December 31, 2014.
On February 27, 2015, the show was renewed for a sixth season, which would feature contestants from past seasons. It is set to air Summer 2015. On March 29, 2015, Blackmist100 announced that the season was put on hold until further notice.
Reception
The show was generally favored by many and was able to grasp the most viewers on miststudios. Views ranged from 300-500 during Season 1, with the finale garnering over 1,000 views. Season 2's ratings slightly dropped to a 200-400 range with its finale gaining 500+ views.
The two-part third season premiere gained 300+ views each on its premiere weekend. The ratings remained consistent at 300+ views per episode, until they dropped halfway through the season to 100-200 views.
Controversy
Controversy stirred up in the third season when 5th/6th placer, Remington72 ("Rem"), intended to compete (and win) with The Igloo Challenge, through his competition series, Igloo Hunters, basing the comparisons on the number of comments/votes. This would anger the TIC crew, as there was no need to compete with each other. His intentions were then publicized by Blackmist100 in a video entitled "I just need your thoughts on this..." On August 11, 2013 (the day the video was released), Rem deleted all of his videos and changed his YouTube channel title to "bye."
